We're talking bout practice

So the first game is quickly approaching and we head to Texas for our first game on February 28th. With only a few weeks left till we step on the field, the team is practicing hard to get ready for on field action. Each day we practice as a team, the pitchers throw in anticipation for game days and the hitters are beginning to get back into the swing of things.

Each player is improving by the day, as the coaching staff can see the anticipation in their eyes for the first game. Being a northeast baseball program, we have one problem. The first time we step onto a baseball field is our first game. Since the weather up here is not ideal baseball weather, we are limited to indoors practice until the first day we get down to Texas.

Enough about that though, with the season only a few weeks away, we are looking for alot of fan support for our home games played at Harbor Yard. It is only five minutes down the road from campus and can use the support, escpecially in the colder weather when we first get back from Texas. Hope to see you at the stadium!!

Other teams promote their upcoming season, such as the Yankees. Sacred Heart and myself don't do as much to get people in the stadium for our games, but if you'd like to see what the Yankees do to sell tickets click here.

Nice use of the promotion of the Yankee tickets. I have been to only one game of the baseball team in all four years becuase I dont enjoy the drive to Harbor Yard. Maybe you should mention to the athletic department about getting shuttles to run to the games? just a suggestion! Have fun in Texas!

That’s cool how the Yankees partner up with Mc D's to get people to come to games. Maybe our school can do some type of promotion to get people to come to games like partnering up with the Merritt Canteen or something. That would be pretty cool if the school allowed something like that.
