So Thursday the team is heading down to Texas for our first games of the season. It is what the entire team has been anticipating since the start of practice. The only downfall is that we are leaving at 4 AM. But all things considered it should be a good trip.
With the amount of work the team has done, the pitching staff looks strong and should have a good southern trip. They have been working hard on every aspects of pitching and in my opinion are the best conditioned pitching staff in the Northeast. The pitchers have been running and lifting hard in preparation to the season opener at the University of Texas at San Antonio. This team is a very good hitting team and will give the pitching staff some problems here and there but I think we will come through big time. Along with the pitching staff the hitters have been anticipating seeing live pitching from another team. We play nine games in ten days and it should be an exciting time. Hopefully we can come out with a couple of wins against the three very very good teams we play down there. I just can't wait to start the season already and maybe get a new cowboy hat when we're down in Texas.
Keeping on with the Texas theme, I thought it would be interesting to look into how the Longhorns promote ticket sales for the sporting events they hold dear. Click Here for the link. It just basically explains how they promoted their basketball games to get sold out venues.
Alright well thats really all I have to talk about now, wish the team luck and hope for a couple of wins. I'll have my computer down in Texas, so if anyone reading wants to find out results of each game, I will be posting the game summaries and results after each game.
